Artist Statement
I am a mixed-media artist who works with photography and a combination of digital and traditional printmaking techniques. One series explores juxtapositions of delicate, precise and rhythmic digital line drawings (created in Adobe Illustrator) with hand techniques of monoprinting, pochoir (stenciling), chine colle and watercolor. Themes of nature, superheroes and technical schematics are apparent in some pieces. Other works explore abstractions based on vintage fabrics, photographs of colored ice and circular iconic imagery, digitally enhanced.
